{"id":6,"date":"2014-03-18T09:07:07","date_gmt":"2014-03-18T07:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vehicleregistration.co.za\/wp\/information-required-from-natis-database\/"},"modified":"2014-03-18T09:07:07","modified_gmt":"2014-03-18T07:07:07","slug":"information-required-from-natis-database","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vehicleregistration.co.za\/wp\/information-required-from-natis-database\/","title":{"rendered":"Information required from NATiS database"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"left\">Legal procedure to the issuing\/confirming of information contained in\u00a0 the NATiS database.<\/p>\n<p>Regulation according to National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996.\u00a0 Ammendment : May 2006<\/p>\n<p>Under no circumstances may a NATiS generated printout\u00a0 be given to any\u00a0 applicant.<\/p>\n<p>Information may be issued to Law Firms and Insurances companies or the\u00a0 representatives at a cost of R22\u00a0\u00a0 as legislated in the WC Prov Gazette.<\/p>\n<p>An affidavit stating the background of the issue and valid reason for\u00a0 requiring the vehicle and owner details of the vehicle involved.<\/p>\n<p>Application must be made on the official letter head of the Law firm\u00a0 or Insurance company concerned.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of a private individual representing, the Law\u00a0 firm\/Insurance co. must give an accompanying letter of permission.<\/p>\n<p>A copy of the SAPS accident register containing the reference number\u00a0 (MAS number) must be submitted, as these cases normally relate to\u00a0 insurance claim in the case of accident or hit and run incident.<\/p>\n<p>Certified copies of acceptable identification of the applicant and the\u00a0 representative must accompany the application.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the nature of the investigations and the information required,\u00a0 as well as the legal implications regarding these processes, the Law\u00a0 firms and insurance companies may be issued with a NATiS printout.<\/p>\n<p>In summary the information contained in the NATiS database may only be\u00a0 confirmed\/issued as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Private individual\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 confirm submitted information\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 R22<br \/>Motor dealer\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 confirm submitted information\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 R22<br \/>Law firms\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Issue information\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 R22<br \/>Insurance companies &#8211;\u00a0 Issue information\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 R22<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Legal procedure to the issuing\/confirming of information contained in\u00a0 the NATiS database.
